Sweden and Stockholm are highly ranked
Stockholm ranked 7th on the Global Destination Sustainability Index
The result from the Gobal Destination Sustainability Index for 2022 shows that Stockholm takes 7th place. This means a jump of fifteen places and that Stockholm now ranks second among capital cities.

The Corporate Knights Sustainable Cities Index ranks 50 global cities on air quality, emissions, renewable energy and other sustainability measures and is the world’s first interactive, crowd-sourced sustainability index for cities. Sweden ranked best country in the world for sustainable tourism when global market research company Euromonitor International compared the sustainability of 99 countries in terms of environmental, social and economic sustainability, transport, lodging, risks and the demand for sustainable tourism.
